Personal Information
Ruizhi Liu (b. Chengdu, China) is an artist based in London, working across photography, moving image, installation, and text. His practice explores the structural relationship between image, language, and institutional systems, often through deconstruction and spatial reconfiguration.
Avoiding overt emotional or political expression, Liu constructs visual traps that delay perception and expose hidden codes within symbols and systems. He works with overlooked elements of everyday life, recontextualizing them to activate their latent cultural logic. Images in his work become tools to probe how viewing, memory, and control intersect in contemporary visual culture.
